Causative / Ettirgen Yapı
Have ve get eylemleriyle yapılır, özellikle iki örneğe göre düzenlenir.
1) to have somebody do something (birine birşey yaptırmak)
I had the boy wash my car. (Çocuğa arabamı yıkattım)
I got the boy to wash my car.
She'll have the doctor vaccine her baby. She'll get the doctor to vaccine her baby.
2) to have something done / to get something done
You can have the thesis typed. (Tezi daktilo ettirebilirsiniz).
We are getting the living room painted. They might have had the locks changed.
3) Özellikle make ve let bu yapıda kullanılır. (Eylemlerin durumuna dikkat ediniz.)
That doctor made Ali give up smoking. His father made John go to the dentist.
We let him speak at the meeting.
Wish-tümcecikleri dilek anlatımında kullanılır. Şimdiki zamanla ilgili dilek için wish + simple past; geçmişle ilgili dilek için wish + past perfect kullanıldığına dikkat ediniz.
I wish I were in istanbul. (Keşke istanbul'da olsam.)
He wishes he were a king. I wish I hadn't said that.
We wish we had bought that car last yar. (O arabayı keşke geçen yıl almış olsaydık.)
